Piedra del Aguila (Eagle Rock) Neuquen, Argentina

Piedra del Aguila is located on Ruta 22 about half way between Neuquen Capital and both San Martin de los Andes in the province of Neuquen and Bariloche in the province of Rio Negro two very popular tourist destination in the Northern Patagonia. I travel the route many times and always stopped to enjoy a snake and enjoy the view.

I was told that the statue was build because the rock that the town was named for that's looks like an eagle could not be seen from the ruta.
