The Tranquil Brayeun Leupung

The green nature in the corner of Brayeun Village always giving calm feeling for those who visit it. That afternoon the weather was good in the special village of Brayeun, Leupung, northern part of Aceh, Indonesia. Located at the rain forest mountain which is part of The Ulu Masen National Park makes this area very natural and beautiful. The surrounding are cool and fresh with natural springs and form a clear river with its river rocks. The birds singing also adding peace while being here.

How's to getting here is easy to reach with public transportation from Banda Aceh city to the west, passing by the fascinating Lhoknga beach until arrives in Leupung. With good signs at the road side its hard to get lost along the way. A clear sign at the left make me turn to left, then on the way to the Brayeun Rivers could see the farmers with the equipment in the green and gold paddy field preparing for harvesting their paddy in front of Brayeun hills. Such a beautiful village. Accessible road into the national park and the main river is pretty well okay, pay only 3000 Indonesian Rupiah for the tickets.

When the weekend coming, the locals often coming here from Banda Aceh and outside like Aceh Jaya, Aceh Rayeuk and they intend to swim in the fresh river, also rent the rubber boat and do tubing rafting. A little bit crowded. But on weekdays this place is perfect for those who like a lonely peaceful place away from the city with your own small bungalow. Reading a book near the river with the sounds of the jungle could clear the mind or doing picnic with friends and family. Or just hunting picture walking down the river if you feel lazy to get wet. Bring your own meals if you have your own fav to enjoy.
