When it is dark, the so called city west around the Kurfürstendamm has its own magic. Bright colourful brilliant lights illuminate the night, especially during the festive season.

Yes indeed, I seldom do night shots in the city as I have a two hour commute and leave before it gets dark,

I get your point. That sounds like something you would do often just to take some photos. Luckily I have public transport not far away. And all in all it takes me around an hour to be in the city centre.
