In another life.... Street photographer.

in #photofeed5 years ago

In another life I travelled through France, Switzerland, Luxembourg, invited by town halls, festival committees.
I was proud to keep this magnificent profession of street photographer alive.
I settled in the village square by creating my own universe:

Romantic hand-painted studio background, antique photographic camera, collection of period hats and some costumes.

I was dressed in a costume myself, with a little moustache.

People were intrigued, how come it still exists?
After the surprise, they were very easy to play, I saw families, couples, children, even dogs marching by!
People do not pose in front of a camera like in front of a digital camera.
It takes time, I disappear under the sheet to make my focus, it is then necessary to load the film which contains only a photo, attention, we do not move any more, we do not breathe any more, with the one, the two, the three, click.

The photo is taken, it's instant film, time to remove the costumes and it's ready, more than just cutting it the old-fashioned way with an old photographer's cutter and placing it in a beautiful retro pocket.

This unique photo I'm sure will end up on a fireplace or we'll take it out in 10 or 20 years to talk about the good old days.

Very cool story, @jclomo. It's just like going back in time.

Thank you, it was so cool to do.

Great!
Thank you for your support!

Beautiful project!
Revival anytime?

Thank you @captainklaus.
Unfortunately, fuji no longer exists, and the traditional method of "minuteros" is a little long to earn money.

@captainklaus, I know, the Doc do good work but look at the price!
50€ for 6 photos...

I know :(
Once my new lab is set, I want to experiment with the reversal process of RA4. Something with exposing colour paper on 12 ASA, then developing it in b/w developer, exposing it to light and then finish in the normal RA4 process.
Would be great to shoot on paper directly & positiv....

But still not an efficient set up for the streets.

Compared to my plan to build a colour print developer for 180 x 240 cm as a rotating drum, this is nothing ;)
I think I just can't be helped.

Incredible, good luck!

That must have been fascinating! Will you do it again?

Oh! That is too bad! It looked like such fun!

It was, but it doesn't mean he can't be beaten...

Félicitations @jclomo pour votre beau travail!
