A photographic Walk through the Bulgarian Woods [EN/DE]
F2.8 - 5 sec. - ISO320
Hi Steemians! I have already told you here about my adventurous excursion to the Bulgarian Vitosha Mountains. Today I can finally present you also some photographic results of this day.
Hallo Steemianer!
F4.0 - 5 sec. - ISO125
Forests were not exactly my favourite areas for taking pictures so far. If you follow my posts a little bit, then you will have already noticed that I'm looking for my photo scenes mainly in urban areas.
F2.8 - 2 sec. - ISO400
F2.8 - 2 sec. - ISO250
Of course I would like to expand my photographic spectrum and try out new things. Long time exposures of waterfalls have always fascinated me, so I wanted to try it out for myself and the Bulgarian forests offered me this opportunity for the first time.
F2.8 - 5 sec. - ISO400
I positioned my camera in different places and also experimented a bit with the exposure time. For my taste the pictures look best with 2-5 seconds exposure. If the exposure times are too long, the water seems too smooth in my opinion.
F2.8 - 5 sec. - ISO125
The mountain stream that accompanied me on my way to the Boyana waterfall offered me interesting perspectives again and again and I quickly realized that it doesn't necessarily have to be huge waterfalls that make up good photos.
F8.0 - 10 sec. - ISO125
Unfortunately I had only one ND filter that darkened 10 f-stops and therefore in the dark forests it was often a problem to expose so short. With open aperture (F 2.8) I often didn't get the desired sharpness over the whole image and by closing the aperture, the ISO level went up too much. A variable ND filter would certainly have been an advantage in this situation.
F3.5 - 5 sec. - ISO125
F4.0 - 5 sec. - ISO125
At least I am quite satisfied with the composition of most of the pictures and for the fact that these were my first attempts in this field, I can't complain about the results overall.
F3.2 - 5 sec. - ISO125
F2.8 - 5 sec. - ISO640
What is your opinion about these images? Of course I would be especially thankful for tips and suggestions from photographers who have more experience in this field, but of course I am happy about every comment!

Wow, sehr starke Bilder - Respekt! :)
Danke, Martin! Freut mich, dass sie dir gefallen! 😀

Oh, so great shots!! I can hear the sounds of the waterfall;) :)
Thank you! Not bad, your ears seem to work extremely well! 😉
:)
Danke dir! 😊 Ja genau, Übung macht den Meister! 😉
The images are great. You didn't include any with the biggest waterfall?
Thank you, Eva! 😊 I did, you can see it on the 7th picture! I know, it's not so big, I had also imagined it to be bigger, but it looked nice anyway! 🙂
