Ancient Landscape at Temple Wood

Temple Wood is one of the oldest cairns/stone circles in the UK, if not Europe. People travel from all over the World to see this amazing site. We went in Winter so the leaves on the trees hadn't grown yet which created an eerie shape to all the trees surrounding the circle of stones. This site is over thousands of years old and the purpose is still not exactly known. Wouldn't it be amazing to just go back quickly to find out! My entry for today's #landscapephotography contest by @juliank and @photocontests! This photograph was taken with my Canon 6D and 17-40mm lens.
