Yay. There's a new telco in town. TPG. Came all the way from Australia. They are giving free SIM card with unlimited data for a year. Started end of last year but I didn't manage to sign up until recently. Funny thing is that it's zero cost but you still need to sign up with credit card. I did that recently and went to Shaw Centre to collect the SIM card. There was a long queue on a Thursday late morning. Doesn't people need to work? Queued for more than half and hour but they have a few counters and processing was quite fast and I got my SIM card. Cool. Now, I need another phone though I could have shaft it into my Samsung Galaxy S8+ too.

I saw this Huawei lower end phone on Lazada. Supposed to be just launched. Not one of the phone supported by TPG for VOLTE but the mobile data should work. 2 years warranty for $198 with a free travel bag. I'll take one.

After that, I went out of the convention centre and down the escalator.

Ready the SIM card. It's nice the back of the phone has a sticker to tell you where the SIM card go and what the buttons are.

Hmm... not type C. As I said - low end phone.

Plugged in to charge and it has 71% already. Means I can start playing with it.

Yes but they can always activate their exit clause.
They said this on their website:

The photos are not as good as S8 but in good lighting condition, they are quite acceptable.
