Decebalus Rex

It's the last time this year that I visited this area with the beautiful statue sculpted in rocks, by boat. The boating season pretty much ends and I don't think I will get there any soon.
About the statue you should now that it is the face of Decebal, the king of the Dacs from the year 100, sculpted in rocks on the Romanian shore of the Danube close to the border with Serbia. It took the workers to sculpt it ten years and it's not finished due to the lack of funds. There were some more details to be done to it, but it remain as it is...Romania, what else can I say.
It's about 50 meters high and 25 wide and it's the largest rock sculpture in Europe. Thanks to it my home town and the area around became visited by a significant amount of tourists in the summer and hope that that will help it develop as an European one.
