Flaming skies!

Exactly that! Flamin'...!!!

It was past 'normal' sunset hours... when all should be dark...

Somehow some sun rays found their way back into the sky, onto these clouds...

Odd to have clouds that are vertical... rather than horizontal strips...
Being vertical-ish, they are ideal in simulating flames, flicking upwards in the wind... sorta...
Quite unusual...
In the many occasions I've shot sunsets, I seldom get these

This was about 5 mins before the first shot
Before the glow from beyond the horizon shot up onto the clouds
Here they seem like normal white clouds
Hints of a glow coming up from beyond but...
And some dark clouds even... that were banished later
