Aborigine Peak
Aborigen peak has a height of 2287 meters above sea level. When I was a schoolboy in geography lessons, we were told that this is the highest point in the Magadan region and it is located in the Bolshaya Anngachak ridge, which is part of the mountain system of the Chersky ridge. According to the latest measurements, it turned out that the highest point is the Snow Peak (2292 m) located in the same range of the Bolshaya Anngachak north of the Aborigine peak. The ridge itself affects the climate, often delaying cyclones coming from Yakutia, so the weather on both sides of the mountain range may be different.
On Lake Jack London, at the foot of the ridge, sunny weather often reigns, while behind the mountains stands a powerful front and the abyss of heaven opens up. A vivid illustration of this is the photo above. In general, the Great Anngachak Ridge affects the weather throughout the region.
