Explore Canada Part 3: Camping/Hiking at Algonquin Park
"Algonquin the outdoor Paradise" of Ontario-Canada : Forest , rivers , countless lakes , hiking trails , camping - anything outdoor this is your home !
Here are of the photographs from our weekend trip to Algonquin this Autumn/Fall.
Cabin in the Clouds !
Algonquin is rated one of the best places to see autumn/fall colors in Canada. Here are a few photographs. I have a separate post on Fall Photography here
There are lot of scenic drives in the park specially if you avoid the usual highways !
We Camped over the weekend ! It was pretty cold out with sub zero temperatures , specially for us when recently moved from California. We made dinner @ camp , had lot of fun chatting with friends !
What better than a hot coffee for a cold night !
Our Tents, by the way this photo is shot from a smartphone !
Sunrise @ Campground !
We went for a with the kids. The trail is around the Jack lake , it covers around 3.6km.
This is a easy trail where you can take your toddlers without worry. We took it very relaxed making frequent stops covered the loop in 3 hours.
My Sunshine !
I have not even explored 1% of what this place has to offer - so I will be going back

Oh I love the north.....the colors, the smells, the cedar, all of it except the mostquitoes and black flies :)
Beautiful photos.....I was taken back to my Muskoka days....I've never been to Algonquin Park however. Looks like I missed out!
Thanks again , I am glad I could trigger some good memories. Muskoka is amazing as well , I would try to explore the region more next year or may be in coming week :) There is lot to explore and good part for me is , its only few hours drive ! And you could still try to visit Algonquin.
Oh yes I agree on the flies, though we had no trouble this time as we went during autumn.
