Receiving Comfort From Her Brother :-)

Today Little Ms Molly..

Is not feeling too well. She is coming due for her Percorten-V injection. This is an injection we give her approximately every 30 days. She gets this injection, along with an everyday dose of steroid, as part of the treatment regimen for her Addison's Disease (​Hypoadrenocorticism​). When she is nearing her next injection, she sometimes shows signs of needing it early. Today she is a little lethargic and crampy. She has been yelping when I go to pick her up due to the muscle cramps. Her little muscles are cramping due to the electrolyte imbalance within her body. Her kidneys are not able to retain sodium nor expel potassium given her adrenal gland is no longer functioning (part of the Addison’s Disease). We took our little girl for blood panel workup yesterday, so after we get those $300+ results we will have a better idea on the adjustment needed. We may have to adjust the amount of time between injections. No worries though..we are used to it. It has been 3 years since being diagnosed, and we have made many adjustments thus far.

Molly Is In Need Of ..

Her Percorten injection, a little COMFORT from her big brother Pepper and a bit of fresh air. So we did every bit of that. I gave her the injection this morning, knowing that she will need it early despite not having the results back yet, then we all went out doors for a little fresh air. Pepper took a spot by her side because he never likes to be left out.. Mr Jealous.. But I like to believe he is there to comfort his little sister. Smile smile. It’s cloudy today, but a nice warm breeze is blowing and they are loving it! I admit, I am enjoying this down time as well. Rain and cooler temps arrive again soon. Blah blah :-( yuck.

So Cute I Want To Squeeze Them ..
