For July 4th, we stayed in a rustic Ranger Station in between Leadville and Buena Vista. The views, as you can tell, we're spectacular. Mt Belford is a 14,000 foot peak, but we only made it to about 13,000, as our dog isn't able to scale rocks safely.

Ranger cabins in Colorado are available to rent for 40 dollars a night, though they include a wood stove and a pit toilet, and that's it. They're essentially a nice medium between camping and staying in modern accommodations.

On the second night, a bunch of smoke rolled through from a nearby wildfire, making it difficult to be outside. Unfortunately, this season has been bad in terms of wildfires and drought, as the mountains didn't get a lot of snow.

This is all very serene. Beautiful and very calming to look at, I can imagine what it was like to be there.

Thanks! I need to upgrade my camera to really capture the scenery better, but I'm glad you were able to feel like you were there.

The natural environment and mountains are amazing and beautiful, this place is a pure gift of nature @colinhoward

Very really wonderful photography
You are a wonderful photographer
It's a really nice place I've never seen before
If nature listened to our preaching in the conviction of what happened River to the sea and when winter turned into spring
