Slowing Jerry Down With A @D00k13 In His Bowl 😜😝🤣 - #DogsOfSteemit #DailyPetPhotography
Jerry is a notoriously fast eater, one time he ate so quick that he puked it right back up. He just doesn’t chew his food very well and has even tried to swallow bones whole. I can’t really blame him he’s a Mexican rescue and as a puppy would have learned to eat as much as he could before getting chased away.
My solution is to drop a @d00k13 in his bowl, now eating his food is like a game. The @d00k13 ball is one of those baby scented balls the ones good for washing 🤣 threw him off at first but he seems to enjoy the game now. Took us awhile to find a ball the right size that is washable, tennis ball slightly to small he would pick it out and a regular rubber dog ball was to heavy for him to move around. Needed his nose to fit without pushing to much on whiskers, this baby ball is a perfect fit!
Trying to figure out how to roll the ball around and get that last piece of food he was at it for 5 or so minutes 😅 slows him right down.
Best part I can see his satisfaction when he finally does get that last piece of kibble. He is a very charismatic pooch, after Jerry is done eating he looks at me licking his lips but with a little more excitement than before.
In Jerry’s mind I imagine him thinking it’s a challenge and while he looks back and forth from me to his bowl he is saying “nice try, I still got all that food!”

I wonder how you came up with such an idea!!!! Man , my brain is too dull in this type of case...
Sobald ein Thema interessant genug ist, dass man damit mehr Zeit verbringen möchte, oder auch muss, sensibilisiert man sich automatisch darauf und es entwickeln sich dadurch neue Perspektiven und Ideen.
Solange man aber den Blick, oder auch den Gedanken nicht realisiert,fehlt das nötige Interesse, um sich Gedanken zu machen.
Das Gehirn wartet nur darauf, gebraucht zu werden und schon gehts los.

Have you ever seen the slow eater dog bowls? They have a bunch a little pegs in them so that the kibble is a little bit of a challenge to lick up. I tried it before with a smaller ball but it needed to be just a little bit bigger so he couldn’t pick it out.

hahahaha.. No I never saw that... Something new for me.. My dog takes her food properly even she takes time... hehehe.. sometimes she move around and come back to eat..
Yeah Jerry was a Mexican rescue, he eats like a man that just got out of jail and is used to having to guard his food or eat it extremely quickly 😅
Our late Meesha was a little better but when other dogs were around she would do the same thing 😝 she was a rescue also

Es ist eine Super-Idee einen Ball zu verwenden.
Wir haben einen Jack-Russel und der frisst auch, ohne Punkt und Komma.
Wer weiß, wann es wieder etwas gibt!?
Da er sehr agil ist, habe ich als Lösung Quark genommen.
Er bekommt grundsätzlich nur Trockenfutter und der Quark verklebt sein Futter so gut, dass er richtig arbeiten muss.
Hunde schlingen grundsätzlich ihr Futter, soweit es möglich ist. Immer rein damit. Steckt so in der Natur.
Quark gibt zusätzlich noch Power für Muskeln und Knochen, oder???
Jedenfalls eine Klasse-Idee von Dir.
