Hiking experience-A day in mountain Olympus
Today was an adventurous day. Me and my girlfriend @steemitpeace love hiking and we decided to start our hiking path from Gortsia, 13 Km from Litochoro, to Petrostrouga. Petrostrouga is a refuge built in the woods 1.940 meters high, in Mountain Olypmus.
It's an easy path, with a beautiful view as you can see. It took us about three hours to get to Petrostrouga, with one stop for ten minutes in between.
A lot of the time we saw these small pretty flowers called Crocus veluchensis.
About half way in the path we started to see some snow and before we know it everything was white.
Going on hikes helps me clear my mind and relax from work and a pressured schedule. And also it's a great exercise. It makes me appreciate nature and its beauty.
An interesting thing that I realized is that the people you cross with are different, more kind and social. They always pass you saying hello with a smile or even making small talk, and you can see how happy and nice they are.
Of course you have to respect the mountain and always be cautious, because you never know when it can change its mind bringing bad weather. It's always best going with at least one friend, rather then alone.
But it is more fun going with your friend or with a group of friends, your girlfriend or boyfriend, your wife or husband!

I will like to urge you to go for a hike. Its doesn't have to be a long one, even for an hour. Maybe you will find a new hobby you never thought you'll get into.
