How Butterflies Perform Cross Pollution on Plants

in #photography6 years ago

Good evening steemian lovers?

On this happy night @edy90 would like to explain a little about "how a butterfly does cross-pollination in plants.

Butterflies are insects belonging to the order Lepidoptera, or 'winged insects' scales (lepis, scales and pterons, wings).

Simply put, butterflies are distinguished from moths aka night butterflies based on their active time and physical characteristics. Butterflies are generally active during the day, while moths are mostly active at night. The butterfly rests or rests with its wings up, the moth rests with its wings spread. Butterflies usually have a brilliantly beautiful color, moths tend to be dark, dull or gray. However, these differences are always exceptions, so it can not be scientifically fixed.

Butterflies are very many species, in Java and Bali Island alone recorded more than 600 species of butterflies. The type of moth has so far not been made a complete list, but it is suspected there are hundreds of species. Butterflies become one of the few types of insects that are not harmful to humans.

  • Cross Pollination on Plants

The way butterflies cross-pollinate to plants in the same way as bees. Move from tree to tree with flower powder on their feathery feet.

  • Pollination

It is the process of pollination (the movement of pollen from the sari head to the pistil) which typically takes place on the same or different flowers but in one plant or between flowers in the same clone.

  • Other Ways Butterflies Can Help To Pollen

After sucking the nectar from the flower, the pollen powder may be attached to the butterfly body after moving to pick up the nectar again the pollen powder will stick to the pistil and will change into fruit or seed.

  • How To Pollen On Flowers By Insects

When an insect (butterfly, honeybee or beetle) stops and perched on the flower part of the tree to suck honey, accidentally stepping on the pollen that causes hundreds of pollen attached to the leg.

When the insect moves on the pistil's head to suck on the other extract, the pollen attached to the leg will fall and attach to the pistil's head in considerable amounts.
