Matures are not suitable for transportation and if leave them ripe on the tree, you will make a great gift for the bats and insects xD
Transportation I can understand I guess. Do bags not work for bananas?

Transportation from point A to point B. Of course you can buy it from farm (only in big quantity), but I guess you have to transport it in your car to home but mature banana branch will damage. Then crumpled banana spoils quickly.
Bags are only for external market, for internal market the price is very low , so bags doesn't use.
