Texture - Am I The Only One To See These Things?
This is going to be a strange post, I know that from the beginning but it needs to be posted.
Ever since I started taking photos I'm in constant change, I'm seeing things, it better said I'm observing, spotting things I haven't before. I could say I'm keeping my eyes open and I see things.
This piece of old wood came from demolition, it was part of an d barn. I don't know about you but I find it very interesting and see some beauty in it. This is art by nature. I love how many colours I can see here and the lines are fascinating.
This is another example. Sometimes people are looking at me and they don't understand what I'm photographing.
This photo was taken in December when I was out to take some snowy photos. Nothing special at first glance, just some cobblestones. But the snow on it caught my attention. I don't know what was this part of the road cleaned with, might have been a shovel or something similar but it left some great lines.
For me it's interesting, for others this is weird, we are different, we see things differently and that's why life is so colorful interesting.

I think finding the beauty in everyday objects around us is a lovely and very Zen pastime. And there is so much to be seen and appreciated everywhere. Actually seeing what's there asks us to be Fully Present in our lives... it's a great meditation, really!

Different textures and contrasts make simple things way more interesting to look at. There is beauty in most things when nature intervenes.

Well if this is weird, then I am part of the same weird club, @erikah :) I think that photography and being behind the lens as an observer matures our eye and also our minds. I give photography credit for making me more aware and for developing my eye in art as well.
I 'love' wood/trees/roots....I love vines and getting down into the macro world, too. I love the sky and capturing all the things we tend to walk by un-noticed on any given day.....because, in reality, it is all so miraculous that all this even exists.

I love the texture of the wood! Not surprised? :)) The different colors and how they contrast and the lines they make. I love all these different things and I have never found anything I would take a photo of. Or try to!
