Vine Leaves Close Up Photo Shoot
One of my favourite subjects to photograph is leaves, especially vine leaves regardless of the season. If I were to choose, I'd say autumn is the best because the colour of vine leaves is absolutely amazing. Green turns red, yellow, brown, orange, dark claret, you name it.
This year I got to observe the evolution of vine leaves from buds till they start to grow. Today I'd like to show you a few close up photos so you can see the magic.
Right after the buds start to grow and open, you can see these tiny little pink leaves. I find these very cute.
Then the leaves start to change their colour and become light green.
Their back is still little pinkish.
Look at the texture of the leaves. Look at those veins. Isn't it amazing?
These leaves have a different form than the little ones.
Here the magic is starting to happen. Can you see that little "thing"? That's going to be the flower and then the grape clove.
We have at least four of five types (dark blue, yellow, golden) and all of them has a different schedule. Only one is preparing to flower, the others are not in a hurry.
These are old, it was my great grandfather's and still giving fruits. Vine is very resistant as the roots can go down 10 meter deep, that is why they hardly dry out. However, water is needed if you want results.
Last year we had a dry period, good thing we have a watering system. My dad let the water run for half an hour once a week and the result was amazing.
Frost on the other hand can do a lot of damage. I know people who had to cut out and replace every grapevine because of the frost. We were lucky.
I hope you enjoyed my vine leaf presentation 😊

Hey that is a great presentation! You can simply see but not see the finer details that make those sprouts and growth so magical.
Pausing to appreciate the beauty is something we all have to do more of. Right on!
