Shrovetide Day

Pancake week has long passed, and I only processed photos from the holiday yesterday. I would like to once again remember this fun holiday and share its energy. Maslenitsa (Shrovetide day, Pancake week) is a Russian pagan holiday.

The last years farewell to winter are held in Veliky Ustyug on Glory Square, where there used to be a central stadium.

The city’s recreation park adjoins the stadium, where entertainment areas were also located.

The game was attended by teams of educational institutions of the city, as well as working youth.
