The Winter preparations

No, not yet. Too early. Lavender is still doing fine I bet.
Those are lavender bushes from last fall. They grow at my mum's garden and after they lose the flowers and leaves they kind of look like a broom.

They prepare for their winter sleep. Everything that grew in the past months dies back and the core of the plant will hibernate under the layer of snow.

So different than in Portugal. Here the bushes grow... and grow... and unless they can cut down by some maintenance people or get burned by the fire they can have many many years and the main stem starts to look like a twisted and crooked bonsai tree.
Maybe it is a different type too that grows like that... I wouldn't know.
