General update on life, Copenhagen and Bornholm

in #photography6 years ago

I'd like to give a general update on what I am doing and where I am in my life right now!
I have so many things I want to post about, but real life happens much faster than I manage to document it! Well, I shouldn't complain about that..

After we spend the winter in Spain and Portugal,

  • we drove up to Denmark - as I wrote about in this post.
We arrived to Copenhagen in the beginning of June and spend some time in nice sunny Copenhagen (usually the summers here can be quite cold and wet, but this is an extremely dry and sunny one, the weather here was better than it was in Portugal and Spain!)

Freetown Christiania, Copenhagen

Spend a nice day with friends in the colorful Freetown Christiania - an area in Copenhagen occupied since the 60's for those who don't know about it, could write a whole post about this place, but for now, just some pictures :)

Then we went to Bornholm,

  • which is a Danish island in the Baltic Sea, South East of Sweden. It's one of the most beautiful places in Denmark in my opinion, with cliffs and hilly forests, lots of sea and cute old villages.
The food here is also really good and the culture is generally more preserved and life is more laid back than in Copenhagen where I am from.

My mom and my son in Hulle Havn

The reason we went here is that my mother just moved here (actually the day we arrived to Denmark), so we have come to see her new house, help with organizing stuff and enjoy the place.

It's a really nice house, and old farm build in 1869 (main house restored after a fire in 1967).
It consist of a main house with living space, a stable where the former owner had 2 horses, another workshop/stable like house and the last house is made into living space as well with one isolated guestroom and another guest or part space that is not isolated, so just for summer - that's where we live right now :)

A big bunch of photos in and around the house! (mostly around!) :

Absolutely gorgeous pictures! I cannot wait to see the things you have made in the house!!!

these photos are beautiful, you have a really good eye. They make me want to go to Denmark, keeping having fun and living the dream xxxx

Wow those are really stunning photos of Bornholm and your sunset and sun ray photos are really beautiful! Thanks for sharing this post, @frejafri :) Your travels are inspiring!

#steemitmamas

Thank you, I'm very happy to know that! :)

Gorgeous pictures and tbh my jealousy of your lifestyle was pretty off the charts after reading this. You guys just seem soooooo happy! I love it!

As for pictures not being upright, I have had the same issues lately where some will be upright and others turned 90 degrees. So I have been saving them in paint, without doing any rotations or anything and it seems to keep them all upright doing it that way, so give it a try.

Thank you I will try that! It never did it before, just the last few posts I made..!
And thank you for the nice comment! :)

I did it and it worked! Thank you so much for the tip! (too lazy to edit the photos in this post, but it worked in this one: https://steemit.com/family/@frejafri/some-gardening-a-self-made-bench-of-old-bed-stand-and-painted-mail-box <3 <3

Good to hear!! Glad it works for more than just myself :)

Such BEAUTIFUL photos!!! What a great way to end my night, thanks for your relaxing post, loved it. xx

Thank you for your uplifting comment! :D

Wow, I don't have much to say except that the photos make your life look like a Paradise! They look like they belong in a movie or a some photography book! I am completely stunned by how good they all look!

Haha, thank you, that's very nice :D We love our life, but we have earthy troubles like everyone else ;D ;D

It seems like you're living life to it's fullest potential! I hope you're happy. I would love to go to Denmark and Spain soon. Travelling is the best!

Love the sunset. I keep staring at imagining it being on a canvas hanging up somewhere. Just so peaceful.
Your family seem so at peace and happy! Hope you have a good day.
