Kipseli (Athens)
Kipseli, in addition to the historical center, belongs to the oldest parts of Athens. It was officially defined for the first time as a suburb of Athens in 1908.

The Kipseli estate from the 1960s was the pride of the growing metropolis. Houses built at that time consisted of large residential units and rarely exceeded the height of six storeys. They were intended for wealthier residents of Athens and Kolonaki, which is why most apartments are large and provide many amenities. The neighborhood was then considered prosperous and attractive because of the peripheral and, at the same time, close, location in relation to the center, and the presence of considerable green areas.

However, after 1980 Kipseli ceased to be an attractive area. Currently, property prices are much lower here than in other parts of Athens. A large part of the population consists of emigrants from various parts of the world, including Poland. There are a dozen Polish grocery stores, restaurants, bookstores and Polish kindergartens. In the nearby Patisia district is the Polish parish of Christ the Savior led by the Jesuits.
