Colors of the forest

Visiting the late summer forests is one thing I really like, grab some snacks and leave the dust of the city behind and enjoy a breath of fresh forest air.

The colors are already changing. While mostly a coniferous forest, the plantation still shows palettes of different tones.

The path dwindles between the trees, showing shades of green and brown. The fir and pinecones under your feet crunch, when you step on them - there's no-one to wipe them off the path here - it's all wild nature.

In the last beams of bright sunlight, the various types of moss and other plantation light up in display of vivid colors.

Green, blue, red - all can be seen here.

The blue berries look awesome between the green plantation. These look like juniper berries, but as a city slicker, I haven't got a clue what they are. I think junipers are trees only.

A forest nymph can be seen walking behind the sea of red and green. Careful, if you decide to follow- you never know where you end up.

The closer one gets to the beach, the more white can be seen. Proper soil is replaced by sand and only the strongest of the mosses survive. This dry moss is crunchy and not very comfortable to step on with a bare foot.

A bit more colors - the color yellow is trying to get a foothold and have some presence in this late summer forest. Perhaps it will succeed - we will see in a couple of weeks.
