On The Go Photos #4 - Iceland, Long Gallery!!
What do I mean by on the go photos? These are photos that are captured not exactly the places I had planned to visit. Means everything we drove by and saw. It's hard to drive on the road and ignore the stunning landscapes therefore not taking photos... impossible. I stopped many many times on the road or at the side of the road to take photos. Oftentimes even photographed while driving because stopping after every few kilometers... this is the luxury of time I didn't have.
These are the photos shot on the fifth day I spent on Iceland. Mostly I drove along the north and northwest coast of the country. It was the day I had to drive 700 kilometers and didn't have almost any time to do anything else.
Hahaha, we do the same! When you see something amazing, you have to pull over, get off the car and take photos.. It doesn't matter if it's raining, the wind is blowing or snowing.. what you have to do, you have to do :D
You were successful with this approach. 700 km is a lot (we drive it regularly to the Netherlands) so I'm not surprised that there are many photos :)
My favorite would be the ones with sun peaking through the clouds. I love the water reflection! Another one would be the one with dark clouds and orange spot in the back of the photo. This one is truly beautiful!
Thank you for sharing! Happy travels and have a good week!
Thank you! I did get a massive amount of photos from this trip. Can't look the other way and leave uncaptured :D
Beautiful photos. I also like the way you have captured them, specially the first three ones. . The road in the first pic is leading to the hills, second to the sea and third to the clouds. Interesting perspective to see.. 😀
Thanks for sharing.
Thaks! Yeah, have to find good compositions :D
hi @greddyforce
I do not drive, but I love taking pictures from the car running. Usually they come like true crap, but sometimes you can catch some magic essence that you never imagined. I run with the landscape and the fact that they are not moved is a miracle, they are moments stolen without rest, as if nature made me a gift, naked, wild, without artifice. From hardened travelers such as we are, we will keep in mind your considerations for when we will go to Iceland, because sooner or later we will go there! I think that it is amazing and your pictures are beautiful! Thanks for sharing with us
Thank you! Yes Iceland is totally amazing and definitely worth visiting. I surealy want to go back at some point.
I like seeing photo collections on Unsplash.
Stunning landscapes that must be photographed.
Thanks for sharing with us.
No problem, thank you!
Soo many beautiful views! There definitely are amazing and interesting views one encounter while on the go, stopping to take photos isn't something I have ever thought of doing though...
Those landscapes are just so stunning and breathtaking! You took really nice photos of the landscapes.
Thank you! Yes, now I have an addiction of these landscapes.
You have done what I have always wanted to do and think will never do in my own country. As they say, it is not the destination but the journey. It makes a lot of sense when it comes to capturing beauty on passing scenery.
I have never had a car here and given the current circumstances i will never have one. When you've traveled all your life on someone else's car and those someones happen to find it stupid to stop on the road to take pictures you know that you belong to a rara avis sort of class.
I loved photographs 11 and 12
Thank you! Yes car is essential for explorin countries. I hope you find someone at some point who wants to stop and enjoy the sceneries.
Wooow great shots 😍😍👍👏 Nice trip

Hello @greddyforce
What beautiful photos, Iceland is a beautiful country for its incredible landscapes. I have been able to witness it in these photos that you share with us.
I hope someday to visit countries like these :D. Can I ask you since you were there, is it true that there are no ants there?
Thank you! Well, I didn't specifically look for them but overall I didn't see any ants. Probably the best thing is that there is not a single mosquito.
I understand. You know I asked you because I've read a lot about this and I wanted to know if they didn't really exist :O
