La mia Honda Cb 500 Four del 1977.
Presentata agli inizi degli anni '70, rivoluzionò di colpo il mercato motociclistico con il suo propulsore a 4 cilindri quando le sue concorrenti adottavano ancora motori bicilindrici. Innumerevoli soluzioni tecniche innovative per l'epoca unite ad una grande affidabilità, fecero invecchiare di colpo il panorama motociclistico. Si susseguirono le rincorse tra i concorrenti per colmare il gap tecnico ma senza successo; la Cb 500 Four fece numeri di vendita impensabili per qualsiasi costruttore motociclistico.
My 1977 Honda Cb 500 Four.
Introduced in the early 1970s, it suddenly revolutionized the motorcycle market with its 4-cylinder engine when its competitors still adopted twin-cylinder engines. Innumerable innovative technical solutions for the time combined with a great reliability, made the motorcycling scene grow old. The chases between the competitors followed one another to fill the technical gap but without success; the Cb 500 Four made sales numbers unthinkable for any motorcycle manufacturer.
