The number 9 - Abandoned Beauties

👆👉 It is not that difficult to repair it, it is certainly difficult to discover the utility of the reparation and then, review its cost...

👆👉 But, beauty is not something that counts within the urbanscape, it's the value of the urban space and its utility, the cost and the potential return over investment that counts nowadays. Beautines is very welcome of course but not at high cost.

👆👉 Messing the walls seems to be a sport, a very popular activity for the sake of the dirt! Abandoned and spoiled and messed up, and if we replace the traditional buildings with real humans? We'll have abandoned, spoiled and messed up people, such as we did with the houses... You see, urban life is a chain, nothing is irrelevant, every composing element is entangled to other elements, thus every social activity is a projection of the collective will at any given moment or period. The lack of respect for the architectural legacy is the most obvious sign of collective depression and decadence. And... It's not necessarily a deep economic crisis that could trigger this catastrophic social behaving...

👾 It's Saturday, a rainy and certainly not a Spring warm day, Athens is grey today and if this situation continues it seems (to me) that the swallows will come wearing a coat...
