Baby Spider Monkey
When we took our boat to the Amazon Rainforest in Bolivia we were accompanied by a baby spider monkey that was being sent to the reserve to be taken care of. Apparently a tourist saw it for sale in the market in Rurrenabaque and bought it to hand over to the people that run Serere Eco Reserve.
We were told that if a local had bought the monkey it probably would have been eaten. Even though the tourist saved the monkey's life the reserve told us they should not have bought the monkey as that will just encourage people to go out and capture more wildlife to sell.
I liked it! So cute baby monkey)
