Down at the green River / unten am grünen Fluss

in #photography5 years ago

The day before yesterday I was the second time within a week in the Soča Valley in Slovenia.

This time I was in the same place of the great Soča gorge (Velika korita Soče), where I photographed the Soča from above a few days before (Emerald Green Water / Smaragdgrünes Wasser), only this time I went down into the gorge.

In the summer many families with children come to the river to bathe in the shallower places outside the gorge, where the water is a bit calmer.

Im Sommer kommen viele Familien mit Kindern zum Fluss, um hier an den seichteren Stellen außerhalb der Schlucht zu baden, wo das Wasser auch etwas ruhiger ist.

In the following photos, I played a bit with the exposure time. Sometimes a shorter exposure time is more beautiful because you can see the flow and movement of the water better.

Bei den folgenden Fotos habe ich ein bisschen mit der Belichtungszeit gespielt. Manchmal ist eine kürzere Belichtungszeit schöner, weil man den Fluss und die Bewegung des Wassers besser sehen kann.

Beautiful river with gorgeous green color! The water looks clean and clear. And it looks refreshing that I would like to bathe, too.

You took great photos of them. ;)

You should wait till summer - now the water might be too cold ;)
Thank you for your nice comment, @tangmo, taking good photos there is easy when there's water like this :)

You're welcome! Um! It's too hot here.....that's the reason why I would like to jump into the water now! ;)

😄 you wouldn't if you were here, we have 7 degrees Celsius 🙄

Oh! That's really cold..... Then, I would love to move this river to Thailand, if possible..... Ha ha! ;D

It gets a bit warmer in summer and people are bathing in the river then.
Thailand is beautiful enough, you don't need to make it even more beautiful with this river ;)

Oh! I'm really happy to hear that! Many thanks for your nice words for Thailand.... ;)

Ah! It's good that people can bath in the river now..... That would be wonderful time for them. ;))

My pleasure, @tangmo, I wish you a great weekend :)

Howdy again sir johannpiber! That is a tremendous series of shots. it almost looks a like real photographer took those pictures! lol...of course I know how good you are and these photos highlight that talent, well done sir!

... and your jokes make my day better :)))
Thank you @janton, some scenes don't need a good photographer - they just need someone who takes a photo ;)

haha! the only way any of my pictures turn out good is by sheer luck! But your are a different story.

Yes, @janton, of course there is luck too, but the more you photograph the more you see the final photo, how it might look like.

Your first 10,000 photographs are your worst.

and he was right.

howdy again sir johannpiber! oh wow..you first 10,000???
I have about 9,000 to go before I start getting good! lol.

I just pressed the shutter button for continuous shooting for a while and after about three hours I had the 10,000 and my photography was a lot better ;)

haha! ok sir johannpiber now I know the secret to being a better photographer! lol. thank you!

Yepp, @janton, shoot, shoot, shoot - a hunter also trains shooting and the more he shoots the better he gets :)

Mountain rivers, with a rapid flow, is a magnificent sight. I remember thirty years ago I was in the Carpathians. I walked from the very source of the Black Tisza river. I stood on the spot where water leaked out of the floor of the stones with a layer of no more than one centimeter. Then, I walked along this river and gradually, it became like a deep mountain river. I looked at this clear water and I was thirsty. I did that. Now, I have a thirst, after viewing your photos. These are great shots!

... then I would suggest you to go in the kitchen and have some water ;)
Thank you so much, dear @barski, this place is so beautiful with the clear green water that I will visit it again very soon.

The water in the kitchen is a great idea!)) But, I remember the taste of that water from the river and it cannot be replaced with tap water.

That's true of course. I didn't drink the water there and cannot tell you how it tastes, but when I'm there next time then I will try it and tell you then.

But I can remember when I was younger - beside my parent's house there is a brook and we always drank the water - the water in the house still comes from the same source and tastes very good and so much different from the water we have in the city.

wow beautiful photographs my friend...

Thank you my friend, it's a beautiful area there in this valley. You don't have to search for beauty, because it's literally everywhere :)

That's cool to see the exposure times. I like to see more of the clear green water in this. With some motion is really nice

Thank you 😀
I also prefer the one where you can see the motion of the water, and you are right, I could have zoomed out a bit, but I wanted to capture the green and black moss on the rock and didn't think about the green water 🤔
I'll be there soon again and try different angles.

Thank you @kaminchan, the green bottle is reserved for you, of course ;)
Actually, I parked the car about 50 meters from the parking lot where I parked last time and there was a kind of entry to the gorge, a bit overgrown, but it was not hard to get to the bottom over the rocks :)
