It's PRIDE month!
Good evening, Steemians! I’m at @caffetto […a very active account all of a sudden, and the favorite haunt of many Minneapolis-based Steemit enthusiasts]. It’s been a day. I’ve sort of dreaded this morning for a few weeks. I won’t get in to specifics, but at times, family stuff, although good in the long term, is exhausting in the short term. I’m glad to be at the coffee shop now, with friends. Before leaving the house, I threw together a new Magic: The Gathering BRAWL deck. Looking forward to some recreation, and work tonight.
I have some new photography to share. I’ve been so happy with the amount of editing I’ve been getting to lately. I’ve managed to get three to nine photos finished every day, while still managing to see friends, spend time with family, meeting with creative partners like @ghostfish, and draw for purely therapeutic reasons. Being able to catch up […in relative terms] has removed such a burden of stress from my shoulders. It’s allowing me to enjoy my day to day life. I work more productively, and efficiently.
A client and close friend approached me years ago [literally] about shooting she and her girlfriend together. Portraits, and a few more intimate moments if the mood felt right. We started her on a payment schedule via my Patreon. As the months, and eventually years passed, I alerted my friend that she’d more than paid for her session, and with that, we chose a date. It was February, during the couple’s anniversary, and we’d be shooting at the Rivertown Inn in Stillwater, MN. One of my favorite shoot locations in the world.
Interesting footnote amongst the couple, and myself. We’re all Leos. Even crazier; we were all born on the same day […albeit, several years apart]. Sometimes that multiple Leo energy can get weird. Not during this shoot, though. I directed when I needed to and when I didn’t, I just let these people people explore and appreciate one another. There’s nothing sexier then two people, unapologetically attracted to one another. The timing of finishing these images is during PRIDE month, and I’m so glad they were comfortable with me sharing these.

As the freedoms of many are being eroded, please keep your heart on the struggle that lead millions to having a PRIDE celebration at all. This session is very interesting, it reminds me of several things. It's great that you've captured that great moment with them, in addition to several things in common, the Leos together.
They are very pretty! I love that the "task" was left to them, you did not need to suggest positions or things as you would with other models, everything was more organic, more natural you just waited for the exact moment. I imagine it was exciting for you to capture and appreciate the love of these two girls.

It was fun, @yanes94. A little different than my usual style. I tend to have complete control over my shoots and poses. This, I needed to just stay out of the way most of the time. It was very voyeuristic.
Yes! I imagine @kommienezuspadt, but it is good to do something different, that it comes out very well and you enjoy it. Of course, I understand you without predetermined poses for something, it is more like "of the moment" ..
Voyeuristic, that's the perfect word! You have a very good job. Have you asked yourself that?.
I didn't know you can shoot more than once person at a time, so the couple session is really possible and you'd get it done effectively?
I think managing to get three to nine photos finished every day is Cool, more productivity, less time spent and you have a few more to chill with family
So Rivertown Inn in Stillwater, MN is your very favorite place? Is it precisely because of your work or Just that you naturally love the place?
Yeah, @josediccus. I think the most I've ever shot together was five people with the exception of events, protests, things like that. Three images a day is typical. Lately, I've been able to exceed that, though. My friend @thomaskuntzart were just talking about how when you're in a good headspace creatively, you work 10x's more effectively and efficiently. It's true. Rivertown in is beautiful. The hotel has two rooms in the carriage house that are break taking. That's where this was photographed.
Events? Wow maybe you'd bring an event once here one day so we'd see how it definitely looks like when you're shooting or have shot.

@thomaskuntzart is definitely right, I think the concentration, having a good headspace makes one's work very beautiful and well yours have the panacea and the beauty lol more feathers to your camera. Amazing work.
This is a gorgeous set, @kommienezuspadt. The emotions you capture with that camera, the backgrounds, everything about this is perfect. Their love for one another is captured flawlessly, and I'm envious of your skill with a lens. Truly, truly top-notch work. :)

Yes, @elianaelisma. They are a gay couple. I love these ladies. They were so in the moment and present. They're clearly so attracted to each other and in love. It was great to have the opportunity to capture that for them both. I'm also happy they were comfortable with allowing me to share these photos on social media.
I want to make love like that, I'm definitely excited
