Melrose Graffiti and LA Weird - Photography
I call this piece the Melrose Mashup
Melrose Avenue starts in West Hollywood and goes all the way to Silverlake. Paramount Studios, underground culture, shopping, art, and general funkiness...Melrose is a mashup of pop culture. I went to the Fairfax District on Melrose with my Canon 5DSR to fire off whatever caught my eye.
As always I will let the images tell the story...
I think this neon sign says it all. Nuff Said
LA has no shortage of couches littered along the streets. This sofa pairs nicely with the graffiti behind...
Every graffiti area is need of Blondie.
Drug dealers, homeless, punks and hot chicks getting out of dance class fills Melrose Ave
Dedicated wall to Big Spanky. Not sure who he was, but he must have been a significant character in Melrose.
Melrose is also home to many weed dispensaries
Weed Character
I love the bizarre humor found in the neighborhood. Someone removed a few numbers of this house so it said "69"
Not exactly clean - it does smell a little on the funky side
Art is everywhere on Melrose. I especially love the hidden street art gems.

Nice one
Don't do anything stupid because Melrose is loaded with cameras. You're being filmed everywhere you go.
Viscous
Thanks for taking a ride down Melrose with me
