Colours Of Death

Admittedly a bit melodramatic and click-baity. That's because most plants around here are perennials and will survive the winter no matter how harsh with the exception of some perennial garden plants that may die if there is no snow when it gets really cold. I remember when there was little to no snow on the ground in mid-January a few years ago when we had a week of daily maximums around -30 C. I'm no gardener but I was told that some perennials were wiped out by that episode.

Anyway, I went to the supermarket today and took these on the way back.

I like it how red leaves back lit by the sun can radiate such bright redness like in the below pictures. Those our neighbors chokeberry bushes.
