Early Evening Shots At The Harbour

Ville told me he couldn't make it at five for go club at the pub, so I made use of the spare time by shooting a series of pics at the harbour. The sun had set about half an hour earlier and the streetlights were lit. A good time for photography. It's a bit hard to create simple compositions as there are distractions wherever you point the camera. But at least the exposures were acceptable practically straight out of the camera. Only the old railway station had lights that were all too bright which required adjusting the highlights in that one. I think I need to figure out how to do exposure bracketing in this camera.

Bit too short an exposure time in this one. My hand is steady enough and the Vibration Reduction is good enough on this lens to go up to 1/15 without significant camera shake while holding the camera in hand.

This is where the highlights had to be adjusted. The image looked way too bright on the left. It's still too bright. Any tips as to how to handle that?
