Go Club Outdoors In A Tropical Evening

in #photography5 years ago (edited)

Before going to the club, I took some gardening waste from our back yard to a waste center. Because it had been a wet May the growth of dandelions and other weed was turbocharged. I plucked out most of the dandelion blooms in our back and front yards and my wife did the rest. We've been mowing the lawn with a bag attached to the lawnmower. The idea was prevent them from spreading their seeds all over the yard. We put the mulch into waste bags which I took to the waste center today.

That didn't all come from our backyard. Only what's right in front of the big heap.

That big sphere must be where the plant material decomposes producing methane. They don't charge you anything for bringing gardening waste to the center. Apparently they make their money from selling the gas.

My opponent was thinking while I took this from the benches we were sitting on.

I took another one.

This is an even game against our local 1 dan. I'm white. Black died on the right - and in the corner because of a mistake.

I wanted to go swimming for the first time this year as I wrote in my earlier post today. We moved to the end of cape Ruoriniemi where there is a beach. The water was fucking cold. I just plunged into the water that felt ice cold compared to the air, the temperature of which was 30 C today. The water temperature must have been around 15 C.

This is the beach. There were other people at the beach, none of whom were swimming. One lady was standing ankle deep in the water looking at her phone. Pitiful. :)

After I was done "swimming" in the bone-chillingly cold water (the chilling effect was welcome in the heat), we walked to the tip of the cape where the are stone slabs suitable for sitting down and playing with a magnetic board. There were lots of boats and water jets around us.

Heat wave indeed. It's going to last until Saturday. Then it's going to get a few degrees cooler.

Even the dandelion seems to be feeling the heat.

The world will never run out of dandelions.

After shortly discussing various topics we left before sunset.

Hehe, "maestro"... :D

Anyway. All the three shots I photographed came out nicely. I will perhaps present them to Markus and donate him a print if he likes them.

That's a cool pic.

That’s a very busy day ending with a nice sunset!
