Snowy Japan

in #photography6 years ago

I enjoy travelling wide and far, exploring culture and embracing the landscapes that might be hard to find elsewhere in the world. On this occasion I had the pleasure of visiting Japan for a while to enjoy some of the beautiful architecture and scenery it had to offer during the colder months of the year. A holiday doesn’t always have to be a beach affair and Japan has much to offer for all types of holiday makers. In spirit of the cold and windy seasons, I wanted to venture into the snowy part of Japan to see a form of beauty that might not be able to be experienced at any other part of the year.

The winter season in Japan sees a barrage of cold air and moisture that sweeps in from the boundless sea around the country. As such, the winter months see a great deal of snowfall. The country has developed a great way to keep on top of the snow fall and it leaves tourists with a great way to see a beautiful winter landscape in a cold but safe environment. The northern parts of Japan experience most of the snow during its season and much of this continues from around November for a number of months.
