The Louvre Museum 2!

in #photography6 years ago

The museum itself sits within the Louvre Palace which served as a fortress in Paris back in the thirteenth century. A lot of the architecture has been retained and restoration works has placed a great deal on keeping heritage in its works. I hit up the Louvre yet again as there was still so much that I wanted to see here at this great museum. Its very easy to get lost in the various sections of the museum for hours on end. And even then, you will leave without even denting the wealth of knowledge that there is yet to be explored. It’s literally a massive ocean of history and art that makes any repeat trip to Paris a worthy stop.

The Louvre Pyramid is what many will recognise as the glass pyramid structure that sits at the entrance of the museum. It features a grand steel frame structure and is surrounded by another three miniature pyramids. This of course was a relatively new development and was finished just before the ninety’s. Of course this has become a landmark in its own right in the heart of Paris. If you’ve read some of the works by Dan Brown you may also be curious about the pane design. Even historic architecture carries some interesting mysteries and theories.
