I decided to do a little bit of a #flashbackfriday to back in january! The reason this particular post popped into my head is, our summer in Manitoba is nearing its end. Waking up to it being 7°Celcius in the mornings, is sad. Soon the leaves will be turning beautiful colors of brown, red, yellow and orange .. pure, white, reflecting snow to follow. Which are both just as beautiful as the summers we have here as well.

I was about 8 months pregnant here, and it was roughly -30°Celcius outside. The Forks Winnipeg is pretty much what our city is kinda known for. With summer activities including the forks market with many many stores and boutiques, restaurants like the old spaghetti factory and a tons of pathways and river walks to endure. In the winter time they make the the river into a 7.5 KM river skating trail, and every year they are expanding it more & more.

This here is called "Crokicurl* something new they invented here in the past few years.. if you can't tell by the name it's a mix between curning and crokinole. I dont know how to play, but many come to enjoy a game or 2 in the winter.

In january, it was the 1st time they made a little "ice bar" area to sit and have a drink. They even made these super cool ice benches, which were gorgeous!

The forks attracts about 4 million people a year and is always a fun time! In 2008 they built a Human Rights museum at the forks, but i have yet to visit it, but it is on my bucket list! Hope you enjoyed my post!
