Portrait of a intact heart.
For some time, I have been looking for a way to intervene the portrait, either by means of tangible elements, references to the cinema and tributes to analogical photography. All this converges for my main vision, which is the intervention of the gaze through photography. In this search, I counted on the help of @jeilinespinel that worked as the corporeal canvas to intervene and the painting of @alesstorrb that made the plastic work and thus forming completely, the achievement of the following photographs.
When I barely knew the seventh art, I could see Pan's Labyrinth cinematographic work that has marked me, of the awarded teacher Guillermo del Toro; From that exemplary work, I was inspired by the character of Pale Man, but this time using as a tribute, the subtlety of the female body of @jeilinespinel and as the main reference, the eyes marked on the palms of the hands that were immortalized by @alestsorrb. The place also had to matter, just as the Pale Man was exiled to solitude, our model had a cold place and destroyed as a home which many already know, The abandoned cable car. Every corner of this space gave me the perspectives I was looking for to carry out my project.
Beyond paying tribute to the cinema, I wanted to project a message in an introspective way of how I have observed the world. Proposing that many of us as a society have already stopped believing in the coming feeling of the pure heart, the word of love has been withdrawn and now they are filled with mockery, that the lies have blinded their eyes and that is why a search to look at the real, has portrayed in the palm of his hands, a pair of large eyes capable of seeing beyond everything.
The way in which I have chosen to make these photographs, taking as an idea and visual referent the white skin of jeilin I wanted to reflect how is the purity of the world and intact that is the real feeling and looking to generate the contrast of a place already abandoned and destroyed a semi-naked and intact body.
I have to thank deeply for the collaboration of @jeilinespinel and @alesstorrb for helping me to compose this concept and the construction of this post. seriously many thanks!
I also have to point out that these photographs were selected to participate in the Intercollegiate Festival of Humanities 2018. One of the requirements to finalize the participation is the physical impression of all the photographs that can be seen here, all the rewards that are collected in this post will be intended for printing.
Previously in my old account of steemit @chrisjares, I made a small story based on this photographic proposal, you can go read it if you like it.
All the pictures were taken by me, with my Nikon D60 DSLR camera 18-55mm lens.
