EasyDex Photography Challenge Post # 1
Hey all
This is my entry to the easydex photo challenge.
Now we are to pick the best shot we have taken and it seems folks are looking retroactively.
Not clear on the rules here so I've picked my favourite personal shot and a brand new shot.
Whatever the rules dictate my primary choice is an older shot I've taken of a falcon :-) taken at Winkworth Arboretum in Surrey, as part of a wonderful bird's
of prey demonstration. This was a tricky shot indeed :-) especially taken wide open 😯
Gear:
Camera: Olympus pen E-pm2
Lens: Olympus m.45mm F1.8
Settings:
f/1.8
Shutter 2500
Iso 200
Process : taken from my reply to a comment below:
This shot took multiple attempts, the issues is being at the right place at the right time. So I had to reposition my self a few times, then set my focus before hand using the ground as guide for distance.
I figured using a fast photo sequence would be best, so I could fire off 5 or 6 photos in the right focus range.
Since this is a wild animal and it's hard to pinpoint everything in the shot as well as composition, I knew I could crop into my photo later to improve the framing :) oh and a fast shutter speed is super important in this case. Just a little insight into how I took that shot :)
Backup photo
If we need a new shot I found these two playing the pecking order game, against the sunset while walking home last night :)
Almost monochromatic but not quite ;-)
Gear:
Camera: Olympus pen E-pm2
Lens: Lumix F4.0-F5.6 45mm-200mm
Settings:
f/7.1
200mm
Iso 200
And that's me for now :) stay awesome all.
Thanks for viewing

Oh wow! That's really nice! How did it take you to get that shot btw?

Ya, saw ur shutter speed was 2500/s. Have to, or it'll blur out. Nice shot and details captured.
Damn! That is an incredible photo!
