Great Willowherb 🥀
Stumbled upon this lil' beauty near a small water stream, in one of my weekly photo-trips I share with the mighty @simba 😎💪
It is a tall, perennial plant, reaching up to 2 metres in height.
The robust stems are profusely hairy with soft spreading hairs.
Many of the members of the order, being rich in tannin, find considerable domestic use as astringents.
Although its leaves has known to be used as astringents there are reports of violent poisoning with epileptic-like convulsions having been caused by its employment.
Sometimes, nature's beauty equales nature's deadly, so you guys be carefull out there in the wilds, and don't eat this plant! 😉
