Anyway did some digging and found out a whole lot on this magnificent spider 🕷️🤗

As her black sister, a brown widow belongs to the family of Theridiidae, one of the world's largest spiders.

image

The name of this species is derived from the color of the adult, which is often brown, but may be very varied: from light cream gray to very dark brown (not black).

image

A distinct distinguishing feature of this species, which appears in all ranks, including in the small males (as much as five times from the female), is a reddish or orange (sometimes faded) sandy clock surrounded by bright margins that appears on the belly of the spider's belly.

The bite of a brown widow is very painful, but for a healthy person it is not considered life-threatening.

A brown widow is considered a non-aggressive, shy and less dangerous than the black widow.

With regard to the wide cosmopolitan circulation, the incidence of bite cases is very small and in all cases, local injury occurs after a few hours.

Most of the biting cases documented worldwide occur in the upper extremities, which may indicate the pattern of encounters with the spider following uncontrolled hands being sent to hidden, dark places, etc., and the possibility of avoiding such encounters in advance.

The brown widow is active at night and staying in a protected hiding place; rockers, pipes, fences, tree trunks, dense bushes, scrap, old tires, various facilities, or any dark space are difficult to access.

Enjoy!
