Reddest
This is the reddest dragonfly in The Netherlands, called broad scarlet (Crocothemis erythraea), vuurlibel in Dutch.
I saw this one two days ago, and it was easy to identify, as it is the only dragonfly species here of which all bits are red: body, face, legs, and eyes; even the leading edges and the bases of the wings are red.
I especially like that first photo; it's not often that this species poses patiently for me against just the right (traditional-complementary) background colour.
Are there any species out in the wider world you know of that are reddester yet?

The only thing I can think of with more red are those tiny little red mites! Great dragonfly @ocrdu!
Thanks! Yes, those are very red as well, we have them here too.
Beautiful, amazing nature. I'm glad to see the dragonflies are back again on Steemit. 😀
Great shots!
Really i love it
