In Banff
Why I'm writing a post about Banff today?
They had a dump of fresh snow yesterday.
On the 7th of June?
Always expect the unexpected in this part of the world.
I never heard about this small town in the Canadian Rockies until we moved to Canada.
It's a well known touristic destination and it's a canter of the National park with the same name.
Maybe more familiar name for Europeans is Lake Louise where the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships season usually starts.
The tourist season is all year round but we visited the place in summer a couple of years ago.

Yes, I remember well growing up in Calgary the unpredictability of our weather. Those rocky mountains can be a blight or a blessing. Few complain about chinooks in the winter. I never did. Lived for them really. You got some amazing shots of Lake Louise and I think the latter ones were Banff? Big fan of Canmore too, not so touristy:) Hope the snow fairy misses you up in Edmonton:)

Beautiful photos! What a wonderful place to spend some time. You must be relatively close enough to enjoy this location. The town looks very picturesque too.
BTW, I'm a huge NBA fan, and the Raptors are doing great - 'bout time someone took the title away from the Warriors!

I've been wanting to visit Lake Louise for years. Now I need to get a passport in order to do it. Shucks.
All year round busy with tourists? Thats interesting👍✈would have thought maybe just summer, i have seen many pics of this place hope to see it in person one day
