THE LARGEST PUMPKINS IN DENMARK

Last weekend I went to Copenhagen for the Halloween weekend with a group of other students from my university.

We had fabulous time in the city – the beautiful city that I love dearly. Among other places we went to the century-old amusement park in the middle of Copenhagen, Tivoli Gardens. It was beautifully decorated for Halloween. There were pumpkins everywhere!

I was particularly impressed by these specimens – the winners of Denmark’s Largest Pumpkins competition (the normal-size pumpkins are put in front of the award-winning giants for comparison):

I thought that just one such pumpkin would be enough to feed a very large family for a week. What do you think? Are they impressive? Unnatural? Scary even? Please share in the comments below!

Tivoli Gardens a place I have visited and thoroughly enjoyed, those pumpkins are huge.

Not for making masks odd shapes nor wasting food, that would make a lot of pumpkin fritters for a month or more @oleg326756 quick to make and serve with brown sugar and cinnamon on top, yummy!

Pumpkin fritters or Pampoen koekies in Afrikaans are delicious for breakfast or dessert and it's so quick and easy to make!

2 cups cooked mashed pumpkin.
1 tsp vanilla extract.
1 egg beaten.
1 cup Self Raising flour.
2 tsps baking powder.
¼ tsp salt.
1 tbles brown sugar.
Oil for frying.

I bought a very big pumpkin last year. My son wanted to build a "lykta". But so much food!!! We never ever eat pumpkinpie again... I think I did about 20 portions
