THE EBONY JEWELWING DAMSELFLY
This is a creature that has fascinated me for a long time.
Growing up where @grandpa-pepper still lives, there is a creek running through the woods. Often throughout the summer, we would see an incredible amount of these beautiful creatures flying around down by that creek. Interestingly enough, it is the same in the woods where @bluerthangreen and @allforthegood now live. I noticed a bunch of these down by the creek there the other day, and tried my best to capture their magnificence.

There is no substitute that will compare to beholding these splendid creatures firsthand in real life, but these photos should still be able to give you a good idea about the beauty of these damselflies. Enjoy the photos!

Grew up around these too. We had a creek on the Grandparents property and these were everywhere! Who says fairies aren't real? ;)

Extraordinary
We live in a tropical country, with hundreds of species of dragonflies flying freely in our nature, but this one type only once I see it, just through your post, thanks @papa-pepper
They're gorgeous aren't they? We have a very similar variety here in Devon (or perhaps the same with a different name?) They're called Beautiful Demoiselles- the males are this same jewelled colour, the females are gold and i think the juveniles are gold with a bit of the jewel on their wings. They are mesmerising. Gorgeous photos! E x

Your taste for photography is highly commendable and top notch. I almost felt I was seeing them in my field. Lol
Well, that is imagination you built in my head with your great and amazing pictures. I hope to meet you soon. I love your dreadlocks. Also, those selfies are really fast and they have a high reaction to things.
We are well and blessed! Very close to moving onto our land, so that is exciting. The @little-peppers are growing daily, not just in size but also in understanding and capability. It's been good and the garden is going great too!
