Our last days in the Apple Valley!

Just an ordinary fly on a blossom!

As the owner of the apple farm has recently passed away after a long and heroic struggle against Leukemia cancer, we have received notice to vacate the cottage by no later than January 1st. At this stage I have no idea where we would go, but I know that our Lord knows what our tomorrows hold. In the meantime I have to continue with my photos in order to avoid stress and to live in the moment.
Hope you enjoy today's pictures!

I found a few dragonflies, not in the dams but in the orchards!

Young ones that are not ready to mate yet?

A beauty don't you think?

Yay! We found the first pear on the single line of 54 pear trees!

In our short marriage of almost 16 years, we have moved 7 times in the last 9 years. The first 7 years we lived in a converted projector room in the hall of a church in a high crime city suburb. Due to our charity work, we cannot afford middle class rentals and have had to always go for the cheapies. A converted garage, renovated swimming pool change room, etcetera. Finally a little house was gifted to us which we now had to leave in answer to our friend's urgent call for our presence here with her. And now that she has passed on, we will soon be on the road again.

But we have already made some inroads here, as in our first two months here, we have already supplied a poor farm school with what now amounts to 20 good computers and by next Friday we will have completed the free distribution of 9540 Adult diapers to worthy causes including old age homes and poor community members. And we now also have a load of clothes coming in to be distributed. So the plan is to search for a small plot in this area for us to stay.
Not too bad methinks.

There are times when a person has to release certain personal problems in order to avoid their entrapment. I do not often do this enough according to the wise ones and that's why the stresses get to me. Some good friends that we have made here and I am sure that they will not mind a bit of venting!

@steemitboard A great thank you and upvoted as usual!

Very sorry to hear about this housing difficultly.

I do hope somewhere suitable will find you very soon.

@pennsif Thank you Sir! I believe that all of our roads are planned in life and we go forward boldly as usual. There's always a light at the end of the tunnel. Blessings and thank you for the care!

I do pray that you will find other accommodation right where you are as the community really needs you there! But it's not easy when you're in that situation so best to keep busy @papilloncharity and spread the word that you're looking for something.
Lovely photos as always :)

@lizelle Thank you dear friend and you have hit the nail right on its head! We are busy, as tomorrow we are taking a box of diapers over the mountain for an 8 year old little boy suffering from Cerebral Palsy. We know that things will work out! Blessings!

Moving out and finding a new place is extremely troublesome and daunting. I am sorry to hear this happened you :/ Maybe there are options you can find on gumtree and facebook groups?

@haritakurdu We all have these hardships from time to time my friend and in the overcoming of them, it only makes us stronger! We are getting the news out there! Blessings!

Such wonderful shot, I shame you have to leave their but I am sure something will come up that is perhaps even better

@tattoodjay, We certainly hope so Sir JJ. Thank you for the care my friend! Blessings!

Sorry to hear you have to leave your new little home, the local area residents you have come to know are normally the best people to ask about accommodation.

Makes sense to remain in the area since you have started to build a base to work into the community. I trust the new owners will take the pets that are from the farm, or find people to adopt them.

Finding oneself in nature is the only way I find I keep some form of sanity Stephen.

@joanstewart It's almost as if you were here today Lady Joan. We had a visit from "Impi" one of the German Shepherds and he seems timid, skinny and lost. Their tribe were split up with "Wolfie" and the old girl gone to some other place and only Impi remains with the son's two other dogs! Harrowing! We have spread the news locally, but it's mostly closed shops, as some of the wealthy do gooders are scared that Papillon will take their shine. I have done a talk at their church and assured them that Papillon is not a threat to them, but you know "Christians". The thought is now to move to another town about an hour away, as we can work anywhere across the Western Cape, including here! We need a place where the people will accept us and where we are allowed to do our work in peace. Blessings!

What a massive upheaval to move again, thinking of you.

As they say when one door closes another opens, I hope the transition is not too strenuous emotionally.

Yes animals always come first to mind, they do not know what is happening, perhaps they know more than we realize!

Life takes so many twists and turns we never know what awaits us around the next corner.

Beautiful macro photographs friend.
i wish you shift at new place smoothly.
Thanks for sharing this amazing photographs friend.

@tussar11 Thank you for the kind wishes my friend and a pleasure to share with you! Blessings!
