Healthy Hiking Part 2

The distance isn’t the only thing to consider when hiking around. I often read up about the heights and gradients involved. Steep hikes are often much harder and breathing becomes a little more difficult with altitude. It’s important to consider these things when hiking with others in a group too as not everyone has the same fitness capabilities.

Being weather prepared is also important. Carrying the right hiking equipment is important too. The right walking boots, clothing and other snacks would go a long way in being prepared for a change in circumstances. I can definitely say carrying a light waterproof on a long height can be a big saving grace when the weather turns sour. Keeping healthy by hiking is a great activity and I always make sure to supplement this by carrying adequate amounts of drinking water. Keeping hydrated is important and shouldn’t be ignored.
