Wine Tasting in Australia Part 3

in #photography6 years ago

As testament to the diversity of the wine industry, there was a display of various languages to show where wine had been imported from. In short, many. This is great to see and the guide also explained how the winemaking process might differ when creating carbonated version. I prefer the still variant myself, a smooth and fine evening but a little bubble can be great for a buzzing evening too. There were also a number of fermentation processes that were outlined. It was amazing to understand how winemakers ensure their products are consistent with quality checking. Even then, some of the best wines of the world are made from smaller branches.

As with all winemaking processes, filtration is often needed to remove any organisms that may have been present in the production process. A substantial amount of time goes in to this and it is essential. Once ready, the bottling process further adds a final additive to preserve the wine in its bottled state. Any further reaction within the bottle will cause tastes to change. The manufacturing process has of course changed over the years but there is a certain prestige and heritage that some brands like to maintain.

I highly recommend a wine tasting session and visit around the vineyards. It’s a lovely experience and I hope to do the same again as I explore different countries.
