Sunset in O'ahu Hawai'i

What is it about a sunset at a beach
that gently touches portions of my soul
like no other place can?

I wish I was a gifted writer or a poet with all the words to be able to describe and share the beauty of this sunset.

So let me borrow words from several of them
as we watch the beautiful Hawai'i sunset together.

The sun, like a bashful youth kissed for the first time, glowed a peach-pink.Lexia Liver

It was sunset. I watched with an unwavering gaze, as a fiery red orb of light slowly sank beneath the horizon, and threads of light lingered in the sky, mingling with the rolling clouds, dyeing the heavens first orange, then red, then dark blue, until all that was left of the sunset was a chalky mauve, and then that melted away in turn as stygian darkness took over the sky. Nostalgia Darkness

The sunset is merely a prelude to the dawn, yet its majesty fills my mind with the most beautiful of dreams. As my eyes drift to rest I am one with the stars, my skin cooled by the breeze, and when I awake the sky will be radiant with the first kiss of the new day. Angela Abraham

Ahh, that looks beautiful! I think I need to move there. If the cost of living wasn't so many ounces of silver per month, I would like it. As it is, the silver budget is too small, so I need to keep the expenses down.

Enjoy the rest of your trip! :)

Thank you for being the FIRST to comment on this article. Indeed, it is so beautiful here! When silver hits $250 an ounce, you may buy an island somewhere! I stack on a tiny budget, too, my friend. Yet, slow and steady wins the race. Have a great weekend. I appreciate you stopping by. Don't forget to come by again, and accompany me in this travel. See you again! Take care.

Hey, right on! Normally I focus more on giving a meaningful comment than a quick one. That game never appealed to me.

I was recently talking with someone who said they didn't like paying the premiums over spot to get the coins. I said that's how the mint and resellers make their money so they we're able to buy the coins. They couldn't get past the fact that they had to pay more than "the coin was worth." At the end of the day, I may have paid a few dollars more than spot, but I have the coins and they don't. Eventually I won't even miss the money, but I will enjoy having the coins. :D

I'll make sure to stop by when I see more of your posts!

I buy what I like, so that there is less of a buyer's remorse. It is a struggle, but I try not to be taken in by hype created over silver coins. I also go by my list: fractional gold, ASE, then US Constitutional coins. The rest is just so that I don't get burned out in stacking and keep my interest going at the same time will prevent me from spending the money on something worthless. So I collect hand-poured silver and a hodge podge of silver, LOL!

I haven't gotten to fractional gold yet. Silver is so much cheaper (and low in price compared to gold) that I've been focusing my efforts there. I like that you're consistent and stick to your plan. Do you get Canadian Maple Leafs in addition to/in place of ASE? They tend to be a little less expensive (maybe $0.50 per coin). Just curious.

@silversaver888 you say that you are not a poet or writter however I disagree. You often share many thoughts and emotions directly and let us see what you care about and believe in. This is the way of a writter.
In term of this sunet though, some things do not need words as just seeing them lights up the soul. This my friend is one of them!
Thanks so much for sharing the beauty!!

Awww.... I am so glad to be able to share this sunset with you. I am realizing that many metals guys may not be into travel or beauty of nature and scenery... and are least interested and won't come to read posts about these things, even if it is from a fellow stacker. I share these things with those who will appreciate it, and is not for those who don't, because who matters are those who do. I really appreciate you. Thanks for being here.

Thank you very much for the kind and heart felt words my friend! I always appreciate sharing your point of view and learning different things. Thanks again!

I like how the sun sets between the trees. @ironshield

Isn't it so beautiful! I love looking at sunset, In a few hours, I will be in the beach again, to watch the sunset. It is just so beautiful!

WOW, where abouts? Yes, I am in California, and have lived in San Francisco for many years... in the Sunset District avenues. Then I moved to the North Bay where I bought my first house. Now I live in an agricultural city up east of SF.

i am from SF, near twin peaks. born and raised went to GW high school in the Richmond. agric city? LOL most of my fam still lives there. i was last in napa bc rent was too high in SF. left 2 years ago. now in CO.

George Washington HS... very near to a Church I go to sometimes.... Star of the Sea! WOW, our paths may have crossed somewhere in SF. It is such a small city, and know it like the back of my hands! Well, I lived near AP Giannini Middle School in Sunset. And when I have friends from out of town, I bring them to Twin Peaks, following the scenic route. WOW, I love the Chinese restaurants around our neighborhood, and those in Haight Asbury, and in Market St and Potrero Hill, and Union Square... Gosh, I miss THE city! Do you?

yep! went to HS with quite a few of those students from SS. i grew up there but live in nyc for about 25 years.

it was great growing up tho, wonderful memories.

Love Hawaii so much! Just gorgeous ❤️

Yes, it can take years to discover much of the lislands... like visit an island per year.... so that is 6 years already, then you need to probably go back to your favorite place once more or even two times. EVerywhere is gorgeous here!!! Especially if one knows how to live in the moment of the beauty of this place. AWESOME!

I'm thrilled to know you love sunsets too...... I'm a freak when it comes to watching the sun fade away slowly behind the clouds; i derive a great deal of joy from that and I'm not surprised it gives me the best feelings.
Thanks so much for sharing this, it's a thumbs up from me. @silversaver888

What a view Saver.....there is no doubt that you are having a good time my friend. Thank you for sharing it with us.🌹

Indeed, I am. my friend. I wish you could all join me!

Sunsets have an influence in my mood. I think that I correlate the sun going away to people that went away from my life. So I feel a little sad when I watch the sun going down.

Heya Saver, last time i was there i bought some 90% — coin shop downtown Honolulu!!! Goog it and have some fun!!! 😎👍

As if I have not left the mainland!

    Do it!

Yes, that can make you feel sad.... But please don't feel sad!

I hope to someday take my wife there for a vacation. Beautiful sunset

If I could, I would send you, your wife and the boys here. They would enjoy it very much! I have a lotto ticket for the 250 million draw. If I win at least 5 million in any lottery, your wish will be granted!LOL! Aloha ahiahi, cugino!

Sunsets are my favorite time of the day! <3
I really like your photos and those words you shared.
