There were many paths at the mountain, I tried walking as many as I could and explored the location to the best of my ability. As @cosmiccrimes pointed out its mostly Pine trees. And as @manorvillemike states it looks like another world.

Using my B + W Black filter, I was able to capture skies from blue to purple. Since todays color is #purple for #colorchallenge I included some of the images that had more purple skies.

I found a rock outcropping that let me get an elevated vantage point, though with the morning sun it causes a #lensflare

I found another pine, many of them there to hide the sun but it cut out alot of the view unfortunately.
